GERMANY - The aim of the German Design Award is to discover, present and award unique design trends. Egger was once again and three times convincing at the German Design Award.

At the award ceremony in Frankfurt in February 2020, the successful interplay of PerfectSense Matt, marble reproductions and duo edge will be awarded with "Winner", as will the two EGGER PRO Comfort floors EPC014 Waldeck Oak Natural and EPC018 Tegern Esche.

The German Design Award is the international premium prize of the German Design Council and is one of the most recognized design competitions in the world. As part of the nomination process, EGGER was able to score with design quality: With F204 ST9 Carrara marble white and F206 PM and PT Pietra Grigia black, the wood-based material manufacturer presented two elegant ones in the competition for the German Design Award 2020. Marble reproductions. Both decors get an exclusive look and feel thanks to the matte surface of PerfectSense Matt or Topmatt. The perfect complement to this is the new Duo edges: the Variant F8922 C1 shows a white marble look. Their dark veins take up the trend black, which continues in the second half of the edge. The dark variant F8924 C1 combines a very natural wood and a black marble reproduction.

EGGER Floor also impresses with its particularly authentic look. Two decors of the EGGER PRO Comfort floor convinced the Design Council and will be awarded "Winner" next February. The wood décor Waldeck Oak natural (EPC014 Waldeck Oak natural) in large format was able to score.

The digital printing process enables a true-to-life reproduction of the wooden decoration. Thus, the neutral grain course in combination with dark branches strengthens the real wood character. Thanks to the integrated cork layer, the floor is warm and quiet when walking. Made from the materials wood and cork, the floor is sustainable, environmentally friendly and perfect for use in living and sleeping rooms. This also applies to the "Winner" award-winning Tegern Esche: EPC018 Tegern Esche impresses in light natural tones. Typical ash shades as well as darker tones in the core give the floor a lively total surface.
