CHILE - Arauco was awarded first place in the “Most Innovative Companies Chile 2016” ranking, an annual assessment conducted by the ESE Business School of Universidad de Los Andes and La Tercera newspaper, which recognizes the most innovative companies of the nation in each of the market’s industries.

During the awards ceremony, held at the ESE Business School auditorium, Arauco’s Innovation manager Francisco Lozano referred to this achievement, “We are proud to receive this award because we’ve made innovation one of our corporate values. At Arauco we’re inspired to challenge our abilities to search for new solutions for our customers and to develop ongoing improvements in our processes”.

This is the seventh version of this ranking in Chile, which included over 300 participating companies that were subject to an assessment covering three areas: innovation policies and processes; the elements that create and comprise the culture of innovation; and their impact on company results.

In addition, La Tercera newspaper also grants its own innovation award, which is presented to one only company based on data provided by ESE Business School. This year, Arauco was recognized for the successful work developed in a business incubation program that impacts communities near the company’s operations.
