This action carried out by a group of about 27 Masonite workers was denounced by Masisa to the competent authorities as it affected their operation. Regarding the situation Masisa said on August 12 in a statement to the market: "With the duty that fits us to protect the continuity of our operations and providing security and safety for our employees, we denounced this situation to the competent authorities and receive the support of Carabineros of Chile (Chile’s police), which recently allowed us access to the complex, therefore we are informing that are resuming operations at our facilities in Cabrero".

Masisa reiterated that it has no responsibility for these events and hopes that this situation between Masonite and their workers is resolved shortly. It is important to point out that in June 2013 Masonite acquired for $ 12.5 million Masisa’s door manufacturing operation. The transaction included the residential doors plant in Chillán (Chile) and the door components line in the Industrial Complex of Masisa in Cabrero (Chile).
