COLOMBIA (Notifix) - On September 2nd Duratex requested authorization from the local authorities for the completion of a tender offer (TO) with the objective to acquire an additional 15% equity stake of Tablemac SA, the leading company in the Colombian market in the manufacture of panelboards.

The TO is for a price of COP 8.60 per share, totaling an estimated value of USD 22.5 million. The completion of this deal is expected by the beginning of October, following the release of the interim quarterly report.

Currently Duratex SA holds a 37% share of Tablemac. This operation is part of the strategy of Duratex, the largest Brazilian manufacturer of industrialized panels, metal fittings and ceramic ware, to increase its operations abroad.
