German Wemhöner, a leader in the field, supplied the press. With this state of the art technology Tablemac will laminate both fiberboard (MDF) and particleboard (PB), increasing its laminating capacity to respond to the high demand observed. The plant has a nominal capacity of 200 boards per hour, the equivalent to about 92,000 m3 annually of laminated board. This expansion project represented an investment of COP 7.800 million.

Within their business plan, Tablemac has clearly defined the maximization of the sale of coated product. As the furniture and interior architecture markets demand laminates with wood designs and colors with different textures and improved formats, Tablemac meets this challenge with a the new Rustik texture and a new format of 1.83m X 2.44m. With lower costs and top quality attributes melamine laminates are replacing high pressure laminates (HPL) and natural wood.

Accompanying this expansion project, Tablemac also launched a management information system ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning - SIESA Enterprise), which seeks to support the full information platform and strengthen its customer service. The project began in January 2013 and is to be completed in the coming months, seeking to unify all modules of the Company, with an initial investment of COP 1,100 million.

In July the Commercial and Financial modules went live. Currently, Manufacturing and Payroll modules are in the process of data and variables validation.

With the launching of these two projects, Tablemac is ready to face the good market dynamics expected throughout the year.
