CHILE (Notifix).- ARAUCO was awarded first place in the Chilean forestry sector in the EVA (Economic Value Added) Ranking. This ranking is conducted by Econsult consultancy company and Qué Pasa magazine, and uses EVA calculations to demonstrate whether a company is adding value by generating profits over and above the capital charge, according to the risk involved in the activities it performs. Matías Domeyko, ARAUCO's Chief Executive Officer, said, "Receiving this award makes us very proud; it honors everyone who is part of ARAUCO. This recognition drives us to double our efforts in order to incorporate best practices on a daily basis, to keep generating added value". This ranking has been developed in Chile since 2002, and is considered one of the best tools to measure a company's performance as a whole, and therefore, it measures the added value generated by the company's employees.
