BRAZIL (Notifix).- Eucatex wood segment sales grew 14.4% in 1Q12 reaching BRR 169million. Growth was mainly due to increased sales of the new THDF/MDF line, which showed a variation of 97.3%. Sales of MDP panels were up 9.4%. The change in revenue for MDP panels shows that there was a recovery in price in the period and which should continue in the second quarter of 2012 considering that a price increase has been announced for this period. In 1Q12, the Company reported an EBITDA of BRR 42 million, relatively stable when compared to results achieved in 1Q11. The EBITDA margin was respectively, in 1Q12 and 1Q11, 19.2% and 20.7%, down 1.5 percentage points.
