BRAZIL (Notifix).- Last April 26th Berneck announced that its unit in Curitibanos, Santa Catarina had entered operation. The unit includes an MDF line and a LP (low pressure) laminating line. The MDF line will have an installed capacity of 42,000 m3/month and the LP a 15,000 m3/month capacity. The new production volume will allow Berneck to more than double its production of MDF, releasing the line at the Araucaria / PR site to triple the production of HDF. Later this year, a saw mill will be put in operation at the new site with an installed capacity of 25,000 m3 per month. Berneck was founded by Bernard von Müller Berneck in January 1952. The company manufactures MDP, MDF, HDF panels and sawed pine and teak lumber.
