ECUADOR (Notifix).- Ecuadorian board manufacturer Aglomerados Cotopaxi was certified in Responsible Forest Management by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). For Cotopaxi getting FSC certified is part of the sustainability policy promoted within the company to keep at the forefront in the management of forest plantations, and production and marketing of composite panels. On this occasion the certified forest area is 12.786 hectares.The FSC certification is voluntary and is subject to the compliance of an annual external audit. It verifies that forest plantation management is conducted according to international standards that balance social, environmental and economic aspects.
