BRAZIL (UOL).- In a teleconference held to comunicate the results of the third quarter of this year, Duratex credited to the lower than expected demand the 31.1% fall in the company's net profit compared to the third quarter last year, to R$ 102.33 million, despite a 12.3% growth of sales revenues, which reached R $ 789.77 million. Company CFO (Chief Financial Officer), Flavio Donatelli said they were expecting an increase in demand, especially in the wood division and mentioned other items impacted the results of Duratex. "We also had increases in the cost of labor and raw materials, and a non-recurring event that has been the rising price of wood in 2010" he said.
