Exports and value added boost sales in 3T/2011 for Tablemac

COLOMBIA (Notifix) .- During the third quarter Tablemac reported the highest sales recorded for one period as it reached COP $ 28,538 million, a 16.6% growth compared to COP $ 24,478 million for the same period last year. In terms of cumulative sales, these reached COP $ 81,338 million, increasing by 19.8% in relation to COP $ 67,870 million for the same period last year, of this volume, growth explains 9.4%. Tablemac highlighted the performance of its line of furniture, Practimac, and exports as the front runners in the result reached. Still, operating profit for the quarter stood at COP $ 2,409 million, 20.4% lower than COP $ 3,026 million from 2010, the operating profit over the year amounted to COP $ 8,911 million 11.6% higher than the COP $ 7,987 million of 2010. Non-operating expenses show an increase in the quarter of COP $ 1,173 million, primarily due to COP $ 582 million of interest earned on the financial obligations acquired by the Company for the capitalization and contributions made in the subordinate Tablemac MDF SAS, and $ 135 million tax on financial transactions. The company estimates that during week 47 (November 21-27), the first trial runs of the MDF line will take place becoming the this first MDF plant in Colombia.Tablemac, resultados 3T / 2011
