First Guararapes mill certified to JAS standard

BRAZIL (EUWID).- The Santa Cecilia plywood plant, which is owned by Guararapes has since 1 September 2011 been officially allowed to supply plywood certified to the Japanese Agricultural Standard (JAS). The company reports that Santa Cecilia is therefore the first plywood plant in Brazil and the second in South America to be certified to JAS criteria. Guararapes has not only undergone certification to JAS but also modified its production line at the Santa Cecilia plant for the manufacture of 3x6 panels.
