PORTUGAL (Notifix).- Sonae Industria reported the best quarterly operational performance achieved within the last 3 years. In 2Q11, the company was able to deliver 35 million Euros of Recurrent EBITDA, which represents almost 10% of turnover. Volumes sold increased by 2%, compared with 1Q11, turnover was 356 million Euros and capacity utilization increased to 80%, the highest quarterly value since 2007. The improvement in operational performance delivered in 2Q11 results from a combination of various factors. The most important are the leaner organization that followed the restructuring process completed in previous years and better market conditions in some of the principal markets among others.
