Good semester for Tablemac, sales grow 21.7 percent

COLOMBIA (Notifix) .- In the first half of 2011 the Colombian panel board manufacturer, Tablemac, had sales of COP $52,799 to 21.7% growth in relation to COP $ 43,393 million in the first half of 2010. Even with these favorable results, in the second quarter the company experienced a slowdown in the dynamics attributed to the effects of the rainy season in both construction activity and transportation. The company also said it was affected by the entry of imported product that has been favored by the high appreciation of the Colombian peso. In the first half operating profit reached COP $ 4,092 million, up 72% over the COP $ 2,378 of 2010. Net profit stood at COP $ 3,502 a growth of 5.3% compared to COP $ 3,327 million for the same period last year. The cumulative EBITDA for June 30, 2011 stood at COP $ 13,058 million, or 24.7% of sales, growing 19.4% compared to COP $ 10,936 million from 2010.
