BRAZIL (Notifix).- Eucatex, one of the major manufacturers of wood panels in Brazil with presence in the paint and varnishes segment published financial results for the January - March 2011 quarter. In a diferent commercial environment than same period in 2010, in which IPI (VAT) tax was reduced for wood panels with a strong surge in demand. Unlike same period last year in the first quarter the new HDF/MDF generated R./25.2 million which helped compensate a 5.7% drop in MDP segment and to an improvement of 14.5% in the Wood segment.
