COLOMBIA (Notifix) .- Board manufacturer TABLEMAC reported sales of COP 28.034 million, its highest level in a quarter, and a growth of 31.5% compared with COP21.325 million in the first quarter of 2010. 19.2% of growth was due to volume. The company indicated this favorable performance was instigated by a positive construction industry development and growth in furniture sales. At the end of the quarter TABLEMAC S. A. has capitalized TABLEMAC MDF S.A.S. with COP26.094 million, this item appears on the balance sheet as long-term investments; and additionally has paid as credit loanas the sum of COP6.404 million related primarily to advances for construction of the new plant.
