BRAZIL (Notifix).- Eucatex S.A. announced that it will invest R$12 million in its Botucatu unit, in Sao Paulo State. With this investment the flooring production capacity which was 6 million m²/year will increase to 12 million m²/year. The laminate flooring segment was a top performer for Eucatex in 2010, with sales up 42.7% compared to the same period last year and gross revenues reaching R$138.7 million. Eucafloor laminate flooring is ecologically correct and manufactured with HPP, an exclusive high density substrate (panel) made out of eucalyptus wood particles, double coating and does not absorb substances or organisms that produce allergies. Eucatex celebrates its 60 anniversary in 2011 as one of the largest manufacturers of flooring, doors, wall partitions, MDP and MDF boards, fiberboard, T-HDF panels, paint and varnish in Brazil. With 2,622 employees, it exports to 37 countries and has four plants in Botucatu and Salto, besides a Forestry Unity, with a seedling nursery in Bofete, all cities of the state of São Paulo.
