Colombia (Notifix).- For the first nine months of the year, the Colombian panel manufacturer Tablemac S.A. reported a sales volume growth of 19.5%. This represents sales of COP 67,870 million, an increase of 7.6% compared to COP 63,068 million of prior year.According to the company, gross profit was up 17.3%, totaling COP 23,380 million, compared to COP 19,937 million of the year before. EBITDA reached COP 17,351 million, a 25.1% of sales, a 9.4% rise from COP 15,602 million of 2009. Tablemac also reported that in mid July the resin plant began production in the Yarumal site, where considerable cost reductions are expected once stabilization and optimization processes are achieved. Regarding the MDF project, at the end of the third quarter Tablemac S.A. has transferred to its affiliate Tablemac MDF S. A. S. the sum of COP 28,580 million destined for industrial machinery and terrain acquisition.
