COLOMBIA – The leading Colombian panel manufacturer, Tablemac, reached sales of 46.5 billion pesos in the third quarter of 2013. 

An increase of 34.7% compared to same period last year. EBITDA improved by 43.8% totaling 9.5 billion pesos in the quarter.

For the year sales reached 136 billion pesos compared to 94.2 billion pesos in 2012 (+44.3%), while exports reached 16.2 billion pesos and 11.9% of sales compared to sales of 7.4 billion pesos in 2012 (7.8% of total sales).

During the 3Q-2013, Tablemac’s new Wemhoner melamine laminating press started operations, giving the company 7 million square meters a year of new laminating capacity, approximately 89.000 m3. The new press will also grant increased flexibility for new melamine designs and board formats.
