Swiss Krono Completes Acquisition of US Particleboard Plant

SWITZERLAND –   The Swiss Krono Group has officially completed its acquisition of Collins Pine Company‘s particleboard and engineered wood siding facilities in Klamath Falls, Oregon (USA)

The transaction, effective August 25, 2025, marks the final step in a deal initially announced on May 30, 2025. The purchase significantly strengthens Swiss Krono’s North American presence and expands its operations into the Western United States.

Both companies acknowledged the efforts of employees, customers, and partners who facilitated the transition. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The sale does not affect Collins’ other business units, which include softwood and hardwood production in California, Oregon, and Pennsylvania.

The Swiss Krono Group is a leading global manufacturer of wood-based materials, with a focus on sustainable and innovative solutions for flooring, interiors, and building materials. The company, which has its corporate office in Lucerne, Switzerland, operates twelve production sites in eight countries and employs around 4,800 people.

Collins Pine Company, founded in 1855, is a family-owned business known for its sustainable forest management practices. It oversees more than 370,000 acres of FSC®-certified lands across several states.
