Strong improvement for Tablemac in 1Q-2014

COLOMBIA – The consolidation of the new panel lamination process at Barbosa along with permanent product availability in the plant helped total consolidated sales for the quarter reach COP 54.476 million.

Representing an increase of 31.4% compared with COP 41.446 million for the same quarter last year. During the quarter, the Colombian board manufacturer registered a strong increase in exports, with a 50.6% growth to COP 7.1 billion. 

Consolidated net income for the quarter was COP 5.093 million, up 935.2% on the result obtained in the same period of 2013 (COP 492 million). Consolidated EBITDA for the quarter was COP 11.883 million, representing an increase of 20.6% compared to COP 9.851 million in 2013. 

During the 1Q/2014 a new Biesse CNC (Skipper 100) was added to the modular furniture production line at the company’s plant in Guarne, increasing capacity by 25%.
