GERMANY – As of October 16, Siempelkamp has sold ten wood-based material production plants in 2014. With this result, the machine builder has already reached the total number of orders received during the previous business year.

The latest orders received were from two Turkish wood-based material manufacturers, Çamsan Entegre and Starwood, both for the production of MDF/HDF. With that, Siempelkamp completes 25 plants sold in the last 20 years to Turkish customers.

In all during 2014 Siempelkamp has received one order for an OSB line from Ireland’s SmartPly Europe Ltd, four particleboard lines from clients in Germany, Bangladesh, Brazil and Russia and five MDF or MDF/HDF from clients in China, Vietnam and Turkey.

With this positive development during the first three quarters in 2014 and the remaining projects of the company at hand, Siempelkamp’s machine and plant engineering unit is expecting a satisfactory number of incoming orders for the current business year. Against the background of highly competitive markets and political imponderables, this is a very pleasing result. The current order backlog results in capacity utilization for the Siempelkamp production well into the third quarter of 2015.
