USA – Roy O. Martin, a U.S. manufacturer of OSB and plywood, has officially launched the second production line at Corrigan OSB LLC in Corrigan, Texas.
This expansion makes their oriented strand board facility the largest of its kind in North America. Texas Governor Greg Abbott attended the opening of the new USD 212 million plant.
The ceremony attracted over 200 attendees, including company partners and community leaders. Following a tour, Governor Abbott highlighted Texas’s booming economy and the facility’s role in providing high-quality building materials.
The expansion increases the plant’s production capacity by 43% and creates 300 new jobs.
OSB is already more popular than plywood in the North American structural panel market, and its global adoption continues to rise. Earlier this year, reports indicated that the Australian OSB market grew by 29% during the COVID boom, while government-backed mills in China are rapidly expanding to meet demand.
