Roseburg completes deal for SierraPine MDF facility in Oregon

U.S. – Roseburg Forest Products Co. announced today that it has completed the purchase of the SierraPine Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) facility located in Medford, OR. The two companies reached an agreement in mid-August but needed to work through details prior to the close of the sale.

Grady Mulbery, Vice President of Manufacturing for Roseburg, stated “We compliment the SierraPine organization in getting this deal done. They have really been great. Once we had all of the approvals in place, our team and the SierraPine team were able to accelerate the closure of the transaction.” Officially, the company closed the deal Friday, September 11, and was open for business on Monday, September 14.

Roseburg is a privately owned company and one of North America’s leading producers of particleboard, medium density fiberboard and thermally fused laminates. Roseburg also manufactures softwood and hardwood plywood, lumber, LVL and I-joists. Roseburg owns 630,000 acres of timberland in Oregon and Northern California. Roseburg products are shipped throughout North America and the Pacific Rim.
