POLAND – Pfleiderer Group, a leading European manufacturer of wood panels for furniture, interior design and construction, announced that Zbigniew Prokopowicz, who has been serving as interim CEO since June 1, 2019, has now been duly appointed CEO.
Pfleiderer’s new Chairman of the Supervisory Board will be Miguel Kohlmann, who has already been supporting the Supervisory Board in an advisory capacity since May 2018.
Following a successful public takeover bid this summer, the funds advised by Strategic Value Partners, a global investment firm, and its subsidiaries together with the Luxembourg-based investor Atlantik SA control 100 percent Pfleiderer. As part of the majority takeover, the Warsaw Stock Exchange will be delisted, meaning Pfleiderer will be privately run.
Zbigniew Prokopowicz, CEO of Pfleiderer, said: “I am pleased with the permanent appointment as CEO and that I continue to work with Miguel Kohlmann and the other members of the Supervisory Board to drive the company’s growth strategy. As a privately held company, Pfleiderer is optimally positioned to further optimize its manufacturing processes and remains the reliable and innovative partner to which our customers have placed their trust for years.”
Zbigniew Prokopowicz (born in 1967) is a graduate of Paris-Dauphine University and an MBA graduate of Paris Institute of Political Studies. He also studied at the Main School of Planning and Statistics (at present Warsaw School of Economics).
