ECUADOR – Ecuadorian wood panel manufacturer Novopan has been awarded the iF DESIGN AWARD 2025, one of the most prestigious global design honors, for its product Pelikano Toquilla.

The award was presented in the Product discipline, under the Textiles, Wall and Floor category, placing Novopan among the top global innovators in design.

Organized by iF International Forum Design GmbH in Germany, the iF Design Award has recognized design excellence for over 70 years. This year’s edition saw nearly 11,000 entries from 66 countries, making it one of the most competitive design events in the world.

Pelikano Toquilla is a 120 x 65 cm panel featuring toquilla fiber with a unique toasted tone. It stood out to the international jury of 131 design experts for its innovation, superior quality, and impact on architecture and interior design. The product reflects Ecuadorian cultural heritage while integrating aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability.
