ECUADOR – As part of its environmental responsibility strategy, Novopan, Ecuador donated 1,000 Eucalyptus globulus trees to the El Inga Landfill in Quito to support reforestation efforts during the rainy season.
The initiative aligns with the company’s broader sustainability and social responsibility policies.
This marks the fourth consecutive year of the program, which aims to restore areas affected by intensive land use and promote the benefits of responsibly managed productive forest plantations.
“These donations are not only a material contribution but also an opportunity to raise awareness about the value of sustainable plantations,” said Santiago Villalba C., Head of Central Zone Plantations at Novopan.
The delivery was made through EMGIRS-EP, Quito’s public waste management company. General Manager Santiago Andrade noted that the collaboration promotes “a greener, more sustainable Quito” and contributes to the proper technical closure of the El Inga landfill.
Novopan highlights that these ongoing actions reinforce its commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable land management in coordination with local communities and institutions.
