FRANCE – In February 2018, EGGER and Siempelkamp signed the contract for the new delivery of a high-performance short-cycle press KT 700 for coating particleboard.
The new KT system is a replacement investment for an old short cycle press from 1993 at the Rambervillers plant. The delivery includes a multi-piston short cycle press (KT 700) with appropriate automation.
After the third KT 700, which went into operation at Egger in St. Johann in 2019, this is the fourth KT 700 that Egger commissioned from Siempelkamp: two in St. Johann and two in Rambervillers.
As the new short-cycle press is a replacement investment, special requirements had to be taken into account when integrating it into an existing system. Siempelkamp mastered these challenges together with the Egger project engineers, so that the system could be integrated perfectly into the existing plant.
With the newly delivered short-cycle press, EGGER is expanding its product range at the Rambervillers location in terms of coating technology with an essential component due to the many special products.
Egger Rambervillers, a production site since 1974, is located in the Vosges and has been part of the Egger Group since 2000. The location with 400 employees produces raw particleboard and boards coated with melamine resin, cut pieces and finished furniture.
It supplies the markets of France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux and Italy.
