Masisa nominated in three categories of the ALAS20 Sustainable Leadership Award

CHILE – Masisa was nominated in three categories of the ALAS20 – Agenda 2020 Sustainable Leadership Award.

alas-20-premio-logo-201507 In the Sustainability Leader category Masisa is a finalist along with other companies related to the industry: Arauco, CMPC and Sodimac.  In the Leading Corporate Governance category Masisa will also compete with CMPC, Falabella and Sodimac. And in the Investor Relations Leader category, the short list includes Masisa as well as CMPC, Falabella and Sodimac, among others.

Through an annual process, excellence in the public disclosure of information on sustainable development practices, corporate governance, and sustainable investment is evaluated, recognizing business leaders and investors in Chile, Colombia and Peru.

ALAS20 is an initiative of GfK Adimark and GovernArt, a think tank and consulting firm, which seeks to promote sustainable development in Latin America from business management and investment decisions, as an effective way to achieve a more sustainable, equitable and inclusive world.

“Being nominated in all categories stipulated in the ALAS20 award is a recognition of our business strategy, where corporate governance is a key element in the long run, as the development of sustainable policies in all our processes, and communication with our investors,” said Ignacio Gonzalez, Manager of Marketing and Corporate Communications of Masisa. The winners of the ALAS 20, 2015 Chile will be announced on October 30th.
