CHILE – According to the study “Innovation made in Latam”, led by Juan Pablo Torres researcher at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Chile, Masisa is among the ten most innovative companies in Latin America.
The study analyzed more than 500 medium and large companies in six countries in the Region, which were divided into three areas: Industry, Services and Trade. Among the aspects evaluated were factors such as how long it took managers to analyzing what their rivals are doing or how much they invest in locating the best market practices.
Roberto Salas, President of Masisa, said “innovation is a key aspect for the company as it is one of our strategic pillars, through which we seek to create a differentiated product portfolio and new business models that create value for the company and our customers.”
The study concludes that the companies analyzed in the detection of innovative opportunities is not an isolated factor, but is based on the intention to innovate in the generation and management of new knowledge and improved perception of the value proposition. Of those surveyed, 32% were managers and assistant managers of business areas and 27% general managers.
