UNITED KINGDOM – Kronospan, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of wood-based panels , has officially inaugurated its new Design Centre in the heart of Clerkenwell, London’s premier design district.
More than just a showroom, the centre serves as a creative hub for architects, interior designers, and carpenters seeking to push the boundaries of contemporary and sustainable interior design.
Launched during Clerkenwell Design Week 2025, the new space at 73–75 Goswell Road offers an immersive and interactive experience featuring Kronospan’s most innovative surface materials and wood-based panel products. Visitors can explore a variety of textures, from soft matte finishes to expressive woodgrains and industrial stone aesthetics.
“This is not just a showroom — it’s a creative playground,” the company stated. The Design Centre integrates full-size boards, large material samples, and digital tools to foster experimentation and inspiration, positioning itself as a go-to destination for collaboration, workshops, and events.
The grand opening was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Michael Mueller, Austria’s Trade Commissioner and Commercial Counsellor. Among those present were Peter Kaindl, Managing Director of Kronospan, Ludwig Scheiblreiter, CEO of Kronospan UK, and Ben Spruce, Chief Financial Officer.
“London’s influence on global architecture and design makes it the perfect backdrop for our new centre,” said Peter Kaindl. “We envision this space becoming a vital resource for professionals and a catalyst for the next generation of projects.”
With its arrival in Clerkenwell, Kronospan reaffirms its role as a visionary partner for the UK design industry, offering a physical and conceptual space for sustainable design exploration.
