AUSTRIA – Kronospan, the worlds largest wooden panel manufacturer, and Pyrus Panels have solidified their comprehensive collaboration, paving the way for a significant enhancement of Kronospan’s product offerings.

1055KRONOSPAN This prospective partnership is broadening their global product range through the introduction of the innovative Global Collection 3.0 featuring LISOCORE on a worldwide scale.

LISOCORE introduces a novel dimension to lightweight construction. Crafted from natural and renewable sources, this high-performance board distinguishes itself with its patented sandwich structure. Its top and bottom layers are constructed from distinct wood materials, with a wavy wood fiber fleece core in the middle, delivering remarkable stability through its interconnected design. This unique composition effectively distributes forces in three dimensions, preventing deformations. Notably, LISOCORE maintains the versatility of traditional MDF boards, facilitating easy processing.

The cover layer of LISOCORE offers adaptability for various applications. Ultra-light plywood serves mobile purposes, while HDF or MDF panels provide stable options with minimal weight.

This collaborative effort between the two companies is enriching Kronospan’s existing portfolio of coordinated product offerings with a distinct lightweight panel. Simultaneously, it empowers Pyrus Panels with a wide array of decorative possibilities. The panel is now accessible in all Kronodesign decors, available in thicknesses ranging from 16 to 60 mm.

The production of the multiple award-winning LISOCORE minimizes emissions and predominantly relies on renewable raw materials. Its innovative structure requires 50-70% less material, aligning with the growing emphasis on material efficiency, an integral part of LISOCORE’s essence. This factor further reinforces both companies’ commitment to sustainable and responsible business expansion. Their dedication to sustainability is underscored by certifications, including FSC and PEFC.
