Jorge Giron, President of Pizano gave us a preview of their participation at the fair and his views on the market.

Notifix: What is Pizano bringing to the fair in terms of new products, new designs and textures?

Jorge Girón: In Pizano we are always in constant motion and research, that is why this year we have focused on bringing the best of trends, and together with our customers have selected the best 5 designs to consolidate the Colors Collection of 2017, of which we will make a pre-launch during the fair. We see this fair as the perfect scenario to make them known as it is where all the construction and distribution industries meet. In addition to this colors pre-release, we will offer a forum called ‘Pizano at the Pace of Trends and Marketing’, which will provide our clients with trend’s arguments and concepts in order to ensure that these are part of the experience, generating innovation not only in product, but also in design and interior design which will allow to offer added value and differentiation to customers.

Notifix: What are the design trends detected by Pizano driving the market today?

Jorge Girón: We see a globalized world where cultural exchanges occur more quickly, and after a strong immersion in the social networks and virtual world life, now we do not want to ignore the basics, essential and authentic, this reflects on the search for objects that bring to mind our memories and stories. That is why in furniture we are looking for woods that reflect a natural, genuine and unique appearance and why we have included in our 2017 Collection warm woods in natural and vivid shades, allowing to reflect the characteristics of wood, designs that tell a story and add harmony to our homes.

Notifix: What do you expect of this participation in Expocamacol and what is next in the exhibition calendar for Pizano?

Jorge Girón: Pizano’s expectations with the Expocamacol fair are very high. This year we will bring a different stand, a conceptual stand, with it we want to present to both our customers and visitors to the fair, a renewed and changing Pizano, evolving with the market and trends, as we have done in recent years, but that remains in time, and what best proofs it than these 82 years of the company in the country. That is why, we hope this exhibition will mark a significant difference in the way our customers perceive the brand, as the goal of Pizano is to create valuable experiences and deliver knowledge and innovation to customers, not only through our products but in all aspects related to the brand and what can de better than to continue demonstrating it at the Expocamacol tradefair.

Regarding the calendar, this year Pizano will not participate in other fairs, until next year when we will be again at the Expoconstrucción and Expodiseño Fair (of Bogotá).

Notifix: Pizano has traditionally had a leading position in the segment of architectural millwork, what are the dynamics of this segment and of the construction industry in general for this year and next?

Jorge Girón: The dynamics expected in the segment of the construction industry in general for 2016 and 2017 is quite positive, growth in the construction activity of around 10% is expected, which shows that the sector is progressing and evolving on a good path. Incentives on interest rates that the government is implementing have managed to encourage the purchase of housing. In this environment, Pizano wants to deliver to the construction sector innovative tools and value added services that provide alternatives to evolve from traditional products in order to generate innovative and versatile ideas that adapt to all day to day experiences.

Notifix: What can you tell us about the performance of your millwork furniture and kitchens lines?

Jorge Girón: In the performance of the furniture lines we see some major changes in design issues, the implementation of much cleaner and linear proposals that are part of the environment, a product where all the millwork is integrated as a design element. In the more specific issue of kitchens, the trends are towards managing lighter colors with horizontality in the furniture, which makes the space look much wider, since the kitchen today has become one of the central axes of the home, where family or friends gather. Within this line of action, Pizano wants to deliver environments, to give our customers the ability to provide to their customers the opportunity to live every moment of the day with Pizano.
