BRAZIL – Guararapes, one of the largest MDF manufacturers in the Americas,  is closing 2024 with two major accolades in the Brazilian market: the POPAI Brasil 2024 Golden Trophy and the 2024 Retail Design Award, both recognizing excellence in retail design and merchandising.

At the POPAI Brasil 2024, Guararapes won in the “Store Architecture and Design Projects” category for its Caçador Casa Guararapes showroom, located at the company’s plant in Caçador (SC). The space, designed to focus on customer and partner experience, sustainability, and nature, features an architectural layout that maximizes energy reuse while minimizing environmental impact.

Humberto Oliveira, Sales and Marketing Director at Guararapes, celebrated the achievement: “Winning at POPAI Brasil 2024, in our 40th anniversary year, motivates us to continue strengthening our strategy of being closer to our audience while prioritizing sustainability.”

In the Retail Design Award, Guararapes won in the “Trade Fair Stands” category for its stand at Expo Revestir 2024, Latin America’s premier fair for the surfaces industry. The stand, designed to celebrate the brand’s 40 years, featured a “Faces” panel made from MDF board with over 250 employee fingerprints, reflecting the company’s history.

Product and Brand Specification Coordinator, Geruza Kaseker, said, “The stand was carefully designed to capture Guararapes’ celebratory spirit, and the positive impact led to this prestigious award.”

Guararapes has earned numerous awards in recent years, including the 2023 iF Design Award for its São Paulo showroom, further cementing its commitment to innovation and technology.
