BRAZIL – Eucatex, one of the largest manufacturers of panels in Brazil, with operations also in the paint and varnish, laminated flooring, wall partitions and doors segments, recorded total net revenue of R$ 311.0 million in the third quarter, 4.9% higher than the R$ 296.6 million in the same period the previous year.
This result was driven by strong growth in the Company’s exports. During the period, exports in the Wood segment grew 20.7% in volume and 79.3% in net revenue.
“The numbers are in line with the strategy defined by us. We registered sales growth in fiberboard (+15.9%) and in T-HDF (+89.7%), which exports were still incipient in 2014 but is now effectively part of our product mix targeted at the export market. We are still making adjustments to the production process of this product, which will enable a significant increase in its exports over the course of 2015,” said the Executive Vice-President and Investor Relations Officer, José Antonio Goulart de Carvalho.
According Mr. Goulart, the Company has taken efforts to increase exports, which have so far yielded positive results. “This increase in sales combined with higher profitability has helped the Company maintain its operations at levels close to those in 2014,” he added. Efforts are also being taken to reduce costs and investments in order to keep the Company going during this challenging moment.
