AUSTRIA – The Austrian Egger factory in Unterradlberg emerged as “Smart Factory” of the year in the country’s toughest production competition.
Smart factories represent innovative and future-oriented development in the area of industrial production. Through the use of automation, digitalization and artificial intelligence, production processes are optimized and productivity, quality and efficiency are increased.
According to the expert jury, Egger won the prize thanks to its holistic approach to automated and networked production operations. Above all, the independent creation of systems for process optimization was emphasized.

We see such an award as proof that we are always taking the right path in our efforts towards future-oriented technological development,” says Martin Wurzl, Plant Manager for Technology/Production.
