ECUADOR –  Ecuadorian Particleboard (PB/MDP) exports maintained a double digit growth rate in February 2022. 

Reaching USD 17.57 million compared to USD 7.76 million in February 2021 and USD 10.48 million in February 2020 that represented increases of 22.6% and 67.6% respectively.

PB/MDP exports to Colombia, its largest external market, reached USD 9.83 million in February 2022  which compares to USD 7.76 million in the same month 2021 an increase of 26.7%.

Exports to Perú, its second external market in importance were up 15.8% in February 2022 reaching USD 5.49 million compared to USD 4.74 million in February 2021.

Dominican Republic and Panama followed with shipments of PB/MDP in February 2022 USD 465 thousand and 461 thousand respectively and important growth rates of 294.8% and 89.9% compared to same month 2021.

The excellent export performance in February 2022 was led by Novopan whose exports reached USD 17.24 million and accounted for 98.0% of total exports for the month.
