BRAZIL – Duratex, the largest wood board manufacturer in the southern hemisphere, reported 3Q-2015 sales of BRR 1.04 billion compared to BRR 1.05 billion in the 3Q-2014 (-1.5%).
Sales of the wood division reached BRR 679.0 million and were down 3.9% compared to the 3Q-2014. EBITDA in the 3Q-2015 was down 4.4% reaching BRR 226.8 million compared to BRR 237.3 million in 3Q-2014. For the 9M-2015 period wood division sales totaled BRR 1.97 billion up 3.3% compared to BRR 1.91 billion in the same period 2014. In the 3Q-2015 net income reached BRR 38.8 million down 53.6% compared to 3Q-2014.
In the 3Q-2015 period wood division exports, in line with the Company’s strategic plan, reached BRR 151.5 million, an increase of 58.5% (9M-2014: BRR 95.8 million). In the 9M-2015 period, wood division exports reached BRR 396.1 million and were up 41.4% compared to the 9M-2014 period. The wood division’s share of company sales in the 3Q-2015 was 20.1% compared to 14.6% in the same period 2014, an improvement of 5.4 percentage points.
