BRAZIL – Seeking to act in an increasingly innovative way in the market, Duratex invested 2% of its revenue in technology and innovation in the year 2018.
The data was disclosed in the last edition of the company’s Annual Report, released on February 28.
The highlight of the year was the first edition of the Duratex Garage program, an initiative that selected seven scale-ups, considered innovative in the Construction Materials sector, to undergo mentorship with executives from Duratex and Endeavor.
“We believe in the importance of the innovation culture so that Duratex offers more and more Solutions for Better Living to the market. With the exchange of knowledge provided by the Duratex Garage, we further immerse our industry in the world of innovation and strengthen the contact with new ways of thinking and performing, which favors the development of new and / or disruptive solutions for the benefit of the final consumers,” said Antonio Joaquim, president of the company.
He also highlighted the strong digital transformation process that Duratex is going through. In 2018, the area dedicated to the topic gained even more robustness and created an Analytics group, dedicated exclusively to forecasting and anticipating market needs, signaling opportunities and anticipating difficulties related to the company’s business.
