BRAZIL – Dexco, the largest wood panel manufacturer in Brazil, reported Sales Revenue of BRL 2,239.1 million for 3Q-2024, a 26.6% increase compared to the same period last year.
This growth was driven by strong demand in the Wood Division and a more active panel market, as well as by the Metals and Ceramics Division, which sustained the results from the previous quarter by maintaining a richer product mix.
In 9M-2024, Sales Revenue reached BRL 6,170.5 million, a 13.5% increase compared to the previous year, driven by the performance of the wood panel segment in both domestic and international markets, as well as by the growth of the Metals and Ceramics Division.
Dexco’s Adjusted and Recurring EBITDA for 3Q-2024 was BRL 459.9 million, with a margin of 20.5%, reflecting a 59.7% increase compared to 3Q-2023. This performance was driven by various factors, including the strong result from the Wood Division, which, in addition to maintaining high revenue levels from the panel market, completed specific forestry transactions at the end of the quarter that helped drive results for the period.
In 9M-2024, Adjusted and Recurring EBITDA reached BRL 1,278.1 million, with a margin of 20.7%, a 29.3% increase compared to the same period last year.
Given a stronger operational result, Dexco reported Net Income of BRL 125.1 million for 3Q-2024, a 32.0% increase compared to 3Q-2023. Year-to-date for 2024, the Company’s Net Income was BRL 278.4 million, a 5.1% decrease compared to 9M-2023.
At Dexco, the Wood Division closed 3Q-2024 with a volume of 833.3 thousand m³ sold, representing a 23.7% increase compared to the same period last year, of which 15.0% was allocated to operations in Colombia and the international market. The dynamics of the wood panel sector significantly contributed to the strong results for the quarter, driven by heated demand, particularly in the resale market and in the serial furniture industry, where demand levels exceeded those during the pandemic period. Year-to-date for 9M-2024, the volume sold was 2,342.3 thousand m³, an 18.1% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
