MEXICO – On March 19, in Duraplay’s industrial complex in Hidalgo del Parral, Chihuahua, the Mexican company celebrated the construction start of their MDF and resins plant.
CEO Emilio Touché Ayub and the company’s Board of Directors chaired the ceremony. Guests included important personalities and local authorities, such as the State Governor, Cesar Duarte Jaquez.
The investment, estimated at USD 80 million includes two buildings; the first, designed as the board production facility with capacity to manufacture 200,000 m3 of medium density boards (MDF) per year, and the second as a resin production facility with a 50 ton/year capacity. Dieffenbacher GmbH Maschinen und Anlagenbau, is the leading provider of equipment for the new plant. Once in operation it is expected that this unit will generate 100 direct jobs.
Emilio Ayub, CEO of Duraplay said, “Our vocation is one hundred percent forestry, this project will continue to support sustainable forestry management in our forests.
