Basajaun Leads Sustainable Construction at WoodRise 2023

FRANCE – During the latest edition of the international conference WoodRise, held in Bordeaux, France from October 17 to 20, over 3,000 participants from 20 different countries came together to explore the latest trends and advancements in timber construction.

1057GARNICA This event has evolved into a hub for discussions on critical topics, such as decarbonizing the construction industry, the competitiveness of timber construction, and international projects in this field.

In this context, Garnica has stood out as a key player in promoting sustainable timber construction through its involvement in the Basajaun Project, funded by the European Commission. This project brings together companies, organizations, and public bodies with the goal of driving innovative and sustainable timber construction. The clear mission of the Basajaun Project is to maximize the value of European forests, which cover 43% of the European Union’s land area. This not only benefits rural communities but also promotes the digitalization of the entire value chain, from the forest to the final building.

During the conference, Garnica’s booth became a true showcase of innovation, featuring panels made with their developing product, “G-Brick Eco,” and furniture crafted from 30mm Duraply boards.
