CHILE – Arauco, one of the worlds leading forestry companies, reported sales in the October-December period 2016 (4Q) of USD 1,220.6 million compared to USD 1,206.8 million in the same period 2015 for a slight increase of 1.1%.
Sales of wood products in the 4Q-2016 were up 4.7% reaching USD 629.7 million compared to USD 601.5 million in the same period 2015.
EBITDA in the 4Q-2016 was down 10.1% falling from USD 289.1 million in the same period 2015 to USD 259.9 million in 2016. Net profit was down 14.9% in the 4Q-2016 and reached USD 75.8 million (2015: USD 89.1 million). Consolidated sales for 2016 were down 7.5% totaling USD 4,761.4 million compared to USD 5,146.7 million in 2015.
