GERMANY – The biggest investment project in its history has officially started at Häcker, one of the largest kitchens manufacturers in Germany.

802HACKER1After the acquisition of the new property in Ostercappeln-Venne, Germany, the ground-breaking ceremony recently took place officially initiating construction of the new factory.

The modern factory is being built on 215,000 square meters of premises at the new location with a future-oriented production and logistics concept that will able the company to adequately realize the planned sales increases of the coming years.

Around 450 skilled jobs will be created, which Häcker has started to gradually hire for the production, internal logistics processes and machine operation among others. The commissioning of the new plant is scheduled for autumn 2020.

“The new building in Ostercappeln-Venne gives Häcker the opportunity to set up state-of-the-art production based on digitized processes. A high degree of automation will set standards in terms of process quality and productivity,” explains Dirk Krupka, Technical Director at Häcker Kitchens.

In 2017, for the first time in its history, Häcker Küchen produced more than 2 million cabinets in one year reaching record sales of EUR 553 million. The 6% growth in volume is lower than sales growth – thus Häcker continues the trend toward higher-quality kitchens.
