Egger Group Announces Retirement of Ulrich Bühler After 24 Years of Service

AUSTRIA – The Egger Group, one the largest wooden panel manufacturers in the world,  bids a fond farewell to Ulrich Bühler as he embarks on his well-deserved retirement at the end of April 2024.

1080EGGERHaving dedicated 24 years to the company, Bühler has been a pivotal figure within the group’s highest management echelon, particularly in spearheading global initiatives in sales, marketing, product management, and communication.

During his tenure, Bühler notably spent 16 years driving the Egger Group’s international expansion and digital transformation efforts, while also building an extensive international sales network. His strategic vision and leadership have not only propelled the company’s growth but have also earned him widespread respect both within and outside of the company.

Michael Egger Jr., who has succeeded Bühler as Chief Sales Officer, expressed his deep gratitude, stating, “As a family business, it’s poignant to bid farewell to such a key member of our corporate family. Uli has been a mentor and a model of loyalty and strategic acumen for me personally and for the company at large. We extend our best wishes to Uli and his family for the future.”

Ulrich Bühler began his illustrious career at Egger in 2000 as a Sales Manager at the Brilon plant in Germany and quickly rose through the ranks. In 2006, he was appointed to the Group Management, where he continued to influence the company’s trajectory until 2022. Since then, Bühler has been involved in strategic projects and has served as an advisor and mentor to his successor, ensuring a smooth transition and the continued prosperity of the Egger Group.
