ECUADOR – The total value of decorative paper imports for wood panel surfaces in Ecuador amounted to USD 31.94 million in 2023. This represented a noticeable decrease of 34.5%% compared to the previous year (2022: USD 48.81 million).

Novopan del Ecuador, a prominent regional manufacturer and exporter of particleboard, was the primary importer of decorative papers in 2023, accounting for USD 27.91 million. This marked a strong decrease of 38.8% compared to 2022 (USD 45.59 million).

The leading supplier brands to the ecuadorian market in 2023 were Impress and Schattdecor, contributing USD 8.40 million and USD 7.91 million, respectively. However, both suppliers experienced significant declines of 53.1% and 52.4%.

The top three countries supplying decorative papers to the Ecuadorian market in 2023 were Spain (USD 10.51 million), Austria (USD 8.33 million), and Brazil (USD 6.91 million).
