COLOMBIA – The value of Colombian imports of decorative papers for panel surfaces and decorative laminates reached USD 4.20 million in 1Q-2024.

This represents a significant increase of 18.6% over the same period of the previous year (1Q-2023: USD 3.54 million).

Dexco (Duratex), the country’s main manufacturer of wood-based panels, was the main importer of decorative papers in 1Q-2024 with USD 2.14 million, 41.7% higher than in 1Q-2023 (USD 1.51 million).

It was followed by Primadera and Lamitech with USD 681 thousand and USD 574 thousand, respectively. Representing improvements of 48.8% and 25.0%.

Brazil (USD 2.88 million), China (USD 592 thousand) and Spain (USD 290 thousand) were the three main suppliers of decorative papers for the Colombian market in 1Q-2024.

Interprint and Schattdecor were the main suppliers of decorative papers for laminating wood-based panels to the Colombian market in the first three months of 2024.
