ITALY – Biesse SpA made two important announcements to the market in recent days. In late October it was announced the return of the leading Italian manufacturer of machines and solutions for wood processing to ACIMALL, the Italian woodworking machinery and tools manufacturers’ association.
GERMANY – The HOMAG Group, the world’s leading manufacturer of plant and machinery for the woodworking industry and cabinet makers, has increased its order intake by around 14% to € 142.1 million in the third quarter of 2013 (prior year: € 124.9 million).
CHILE – Arauco had an outstanding participation in the 17th International Forestry, Pulp and Paper Fair – EXPOCORMA 2013, held in Concepción, Chile. More than 370 national and international exhibiting companies from 32 countries participated at this year’s edition that took place from Novembre 6 to 8.
ITALY – “Technology Days Edgebanding & more”, held at SCM Group’s Stefani plant from 17th to 19th October, hit just the right note.
ITALY – BiesseInside, the in-house event showcasing the innovations of the Italian woodworking machinery and solutions manufacturer, took place from October 17 to 19 at the company’s 3,000 square meter headquarter in Pesaro. The event summoned 2,200 visitors, increasing the number of companies from all over the world by 35% in respect to the last edition.
U.S. (Notifix) – Herman Miller, Inc. announced results for its first quarter ended August 31, 2013. Net sales in the quarter totaled $468.1 million, an increase of 4.1% from the same quarter last fiscal year. New orders in the first quarter were $471.2 million, 4.2% higher than the prior year period.
GERMANY (Notifix).- In an exhibition area of over 10,000 square meters, Homag will showcase 50 innovative machines and lines for the transformation of wood.
GERMANY (Notifix).- The Homag Group, global leader in woodworking technology and equipment, reached 2Q-2013 sales of EUR 195.3 million a 3.7% increase compared to EUR 188.3 million in the same period 2012. Net result in the period reached EUR 2.2 million compared to -0.2 million in the 2Q-2012.
ITALY (Notifix).- Leading Italian woodworking machinery manufacturer Biesse was able to record a profit, in a very difficult market scenario, of EUR 1.1 million in first half 2013, compared to EUR -3.3 million in same period last year.
GERMANY (Notifix).- Homag Treff, the prestigious yearly inhouse show of the Homag Group will take place from September 24 to 27 in the German cities of Schopfloch, Homag’s corporate headquarters and Holzbronn, Holzma’s corporate headquarters.
GERMANY (Notifix).- The German press manufacturer Siempelkamp took the opportunity to present al the past Ligna show their new low-budget press concept, the Dragon Press.
