GERMANY – In August of 2015 Siempelkamp received another order for a new MDF ContiRoll® press line from the Vietnamese wood-based materials manufacturer VRG Dongwha MDF.

ITALY – The Biesse Group Directorate General announced changes at the management structure of its Wood Division. Federico Broccoli assumes the role of Wood Division Director – Sales, with the responsibility for Wood Trade Areas and still maintaining his responsibility for Subsidiaries. 

ITALY – Biesse spa, manufacturer of processing technology for the wood, stone and glass industries announced today the purchase of 80% of the shares of its distributor Nury Baylar AS in Turkey.

AUSTRIA – Three Weinig engineers are among the illustrious group of winners of the 2015 Schweighofer Prize. Richard Rister, Erhard Jung and Georg Reis received the prestigious award for the innovative “butt-joint block gluing” technology in front of 700 invited guests in Vienna. 

GERMANY – This September, Yildiz Entegre Siempelkamk placed an order for the supply of two new production lines of MDF/HDF located in Russia and Romania. This is the first time Entegre Yildiz, the largest wood-based materials manufacturer in Turkey, invests in production facilities outside the country.

AUSTRIA – Austrian company Schelling Anlagenbau GmbH, a technology leader for cut to size solutions, has acquired the German specialist for automated edge processing IMA Klessmann GmbH. 

GERMANY – With effect as of August 31, 2015, Ralph Heuwing is stepping down as planned from Homag Group AG’s management board, on which he has served as CEO since December 2014. Pekka Paasivaara, who had served as joint-CEO together with Heuwing since June 15, 2015, is thus taking over as sole CEO of HOMAG Group AG with effect as of September 1, 2015. 

U.S. – The HOLZ-HER Evolution 7405 vertical CNC processing center has won the “Visionary Award” at the AWFS trade fair in Las Vegas in the category for particularly high-quality machinery. The jury highlighted the vacuum-based clamping system for which a patent is pending. 

GERMANY – Dieffenbacher was able to secure two contracts for plants in Asia during June 2015.
