SPAIN – Barberán, the Spanish manufacturer of industrial surface finishing machinery, supplied the equipment for testing new products and designs at Ikea’s technology center in Älmhult, Sweden. 

GERMANY – The Hettich group of companies with headquarters in Kirchlengern generated a turnover of € 913 million in 2016. This represents an increase of 3.75 percent over the previous year (2015: € 880 million).

GERMANY – The Homag Group, the world’s leading manufacturer of machinery and systems for the woodworking industry and carpenters, continued to grow in the 2016 financial year.

U.S. – Chile-based Arauco, the second largest global wood panel manufacturer, is investing in the construction of a particleboard plant with a planned capacity of 800,000 m³ per year in Grayling, Michigan. For the first time, the company is purchasing a complete plant from Dieffenbacher. 

ITALY – The Board of Directors of Biesse S.p.A. – a global leader operating in the market for machinery and systems for the processing of wood, glass/stone and advanced materials has approved the preliminary financial statements for the year ended on 31.12.2016. 

ITALY – The Board of Directors of Biesse S.p.A. approved an updated Group industrial plan for the three year period 2017-2019. With it Biesse Group expects to achieve growth in consolidated net revenues, with organic CAGR – over the three year period of 10.1% (revenues of more than Euro 825 million expected in 2019). 

GERMANY – The Homag Group has realigned the company for its customers, suppliers and business partners. 

ITALY – Data shows that Italian machinery manufacturers’ total sales increased by 11.5% to € 2,078 million in 2016. This is close to the industry’s record production level of € 2,159 million in 2007. 

GERMANY – For the first time and in the spirit of the “Think Weinig” strategy, Holz-Her and the Weinig Group are exhibiting together at LIGNA 2017. 

GERMANY – At the Ligna 2017 from 22 to 26 May 2017 in Hanover, the companies IMA Klessmann GmbH and Schelling Anlagenbau GmbH will present themselves for the first time under their new corporation name IMA Schelling Group (ISG) as well as with a new logo and Corporate Design.

GERMANY – In 2017 Wemhoner will invest € 12 million in the company’s production facility in Hertford, Germany. The investment is mainly aimed at improving the logistics structures and assembly areas. 

GERMANY – Germany’s woodworking machinery manufacturers had a record year in 2016, topping the all-time high of 2007. Provisional figures indicate that the industry surged past the forecast 5 percent mark to achieve double-digit sales growth.
